Watch Osasuna 0-2 Real Madrid Match Highlights Copa Del Rey

Osasuna v Real Madrid

Pepe headed home a late equaliser for Real Madrid to grab a point from Osasuna as the home side held the title-chasers to 2-2 at the Estado Reyno de Navarra.

Real were in disarray in the first half as they went two goals and a man down after Oriol Riera bagged two free headers before captain Sergio Ramos got sent off for two bookable offences - the 18th dismissal of his career.

Isco pulled one back just before half-time which gave Los Blancos hope but it was Osasuna who played much the better football in the second half.

Madrid toiled to find a way through but when Francisco Silva was sent off for the home side in the 79th minute, the title-chasers struck almost immediately. From the free-kick Pepe rose highest to nod home in the 80th minute to rescue a point for Real Madrid.

Los Blancos missed the chance to go equal on points with city rivals Atletico Madrid and table-topping Barcelona with those two sides still to play this weekend. Osasuna will be gutted to have dropped a two goal lead but will walk away happy with a point against this star-studded Real Madrid side which take them up one place into 16th.

KEY MOMENTS

16’ RIERA ROCKET – The Osasuna hero stole in at the far post following an outside-of-the-boot cross from Marc Bertran at right-back. His head was powerful and gave Diego Lopez no chance to give the hosts the lead.

39’ HEADING PRACTICE – Again Riera with the goal as Diego Lopez does well to save the first header from the corner but the ball popped up nicely on to the head of Riera who was not going to miss a free header from five-yards out.

44’ RAMOS MADNESS – Sergio Ramos inexplicably got himself sent off with a second yellow after appearing elbow Riera as he attempted to close down the ball in the middle of the park. No brainer for the referee.

45+1 ISCO REVIVAL – The diminutive Spaniard fired home from the edge of the box to give Real Madrid a lifeline going in to the half-time break after Osasuna allowed too much space in front of their defence for the first time in the half.

Osasuna vs Real Madrid Live Stream
79’ SILLY SILVA – Having an absolute stormer of a match and being on a booking is a recipe for disaster. And it was for Silva who went steaming in to Ronaldo having mis-controlled the ball and tripped him as he went to win it back. 80’ PERKY PEPE – And Pepe equalised just one minute later with a towering header from the resulting free-kick. Carjaval delivered bang on the penalty spot where Pepe was able to get a run on his man and head home for a late equaliser.

Osasuna vs Real Madrid free Live Stream

KEY STATS Real Madrid bossed possession in this game with 63% possession but only managed to convert that into 11 shots, only four of which were on target. Osasuna on the other hand were able to have ten shots, with seven on target, having only 37% of the possession. Los Blancos committed 13 fouls during the game compared to just eight from Osasuna. Sergio Ramos picked up his 13th red card in La Liga.

TALKING POINT

Why did Ramos elbow Riera and cost his team a chance to gain all three points? He may be one of the best centre backs in the world but his tendancy to get sent off is truly baffling. He inexplicably threw his arm at Riera as he tried to close down Marcelo on the half-way line. Thankfully the referee saw it because it looked cynical. Lucky for Ramos his teammates didn’t throw in the towel with their skipper off the pitch and managed to pull the game back to 2-2.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Oriol Riera, Osasuna: Tireless running and two goals to boot. He was a handful for Pepe and Ramos all afternoon getting both booked and the latter sent off. His two headers were accurate and powerful and gave his team the confidence to have a go at a very strong Real Madrid team.

Gareth Bale has joined Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo among the leading contenders for Fifa's Ballon d'Or.

Bale, 24, became the world's most expensive player when he joined Real Madrid from Tottenham for €100m (£85m) in September after scoring 26 goals for Spurs last season.
Five Premier League players – the Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, Manchester City's Yaya Touré, Liverpool's frontman Luis Suárez, the Chelsea forward Eden Hazard and the Arsenal midfielder Mesut Özil – are also on the shortlist.

The 23-man shortlist for the prestigious world player of the year award was announced early on Tuesday morning, with the winner to be unveiled on 13 January in Zurich.

The 23-man shortlist for the prestigious world player of the year award was announced early on Tuesday morning, with the winner to be unveiled on 13 January in Zurich.
The Barcelona and Argentina forward Messi has won the award for the last four years, with Bale's Madrid team-mate Ronaldo consistently his nearest challenger.

Franck Ribéry, who was named Uefa's best player in Europe for the 2012-13 season after helping Bayern Munich win the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup, is another challenger on the shortlist.
Ribéry is joined by five of his Champions League-winning club-mates Philipp Lahm, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer, Arjen Robben and Bastian Schweinsteiger while Barcelona also have Xavi, Andrés Iniesta and their £50m summer signing Neymar among the candidates.
The Paris Saint-Germain trio of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva have made the shortlist while fellow Ligue 1 big-spenders Monaco have a contender of their own in Radamel Falcao, acquired from Atletico Madrid in the close season.

The former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson headlines a 10-man coach of the year shortlist along with José Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and the Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.

Getafe 0-2 Barcelona Match Highlights

Barcelona must deal with a Copa del Rey Round of 16 first leg match as a massive game against Atlético Madrid looms.
Barcelona and Getafe meet for the first leg of their Copa del Rey Round of 16 tie at the Camp Nou. Barca overturned an early 2-0 deficit against Getafe when the two teams met late last year, eventually winning 5-2. Whether or not this match will bring the same emphatic result remains to be seen.

The Blaugrana won't admit it but it would be shocking if their attention isn't a leaf a little bit on this weekend's huge league match against Atlético Madrid. Combine that with the beginnings of a very busy stretch for Gerardo Martino's team and the door could be open for Getafe to pull off a surprise. Lionel Messi has been cleared by team doctors but he's likely to start on the bench for the Blaugrana. He's still expected to see playing time though to help him continue to work back into match fitness. Dani Alves, Marc Bartra and Xavi Hernandez have all been left off the match roster by Martino. None of the trio are hurt and it's purely a coach's decision.

Barcelona injuries and suspensions Out: None Getafe injuries and suspensions Out: Rafa (suspended) Projected lineups Barcelona: José Manuel Pinto, Adriano, Carles Puyol, Javier Mascherano, Martin Montoya, Sergio Busquets, Alex Song, Sergi Roberto, Cristian Tello, Alexis Sánchez, Neymar

Watch Aston Villa 1-2 Arsenal Match Highlights EPL

TEAM NEWS

Aston Villa defenders Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker are both fitness doubts for the visit of Arsenal because of respective calf and hamstring problems.

Brad Guzan and Gabriel Agbonlahor have overcome minor injuries.
Arsenal expect to have forward Olivier Giroud back from injury and illness, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is fit again following a serious knee injury.

Thomas Vermaelen (knee) is a doubt and Theo Walcott has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Villa vs Arsenal Live Streaming Online

MATCH PREVIEW

Home, sweet home. It's hardly something Aston Villa fans can relate to now, or indeed Arsenal supporters back in August after Villa's 3-1 opening-day victory at the Emirates.
The mood has certainly changed for Arsenal since that calamitous day when supporters vented their fury at Arsene Wenger and the board.

The negativity has subsided and, although Theo Walcott's serious knee injury has tempered the mood, Arsenal have entered 2014 with real optimism.

The same can't be said of Aston Villa. It must feel like Groundhog Day for Paul Lambert. This time last year he was trying to overcome a shock League Cup semi-final first-leg defeat at League Two Bradford City, and once again he's licking his wounds after Sheffield United sprang a surprise by beating Villa in the FA Cup last weekend.

Lambert insists he didn't mean to demean the FA Cup, but their exit followed his remarks that the competition can be a hindrance and that "survival" was a priority.
As a result there will be extra scrutiny on Lambert to appease disgruntled and disenchanted supporters. A little bit like the supporter who ripped up his season ticket last Saturday, Lambert must do the same with the history books.

Arsenal have an excellent record at Villa Park and are unbeaten in just over 15 years since Dion Dublin snatched a late winner in December 1998.

Going into the weekend, Arsene Wenger's side also had the joint best away record this season in the top flight, along with Spurs, and will look to build on their excellent form over the festive period.
They showed at West Ham and Newcastle they have fight as well as flair, and a fifth consecutive win in all competitions will keep them as pace setters in the title race.

I wonder how many disillusioned fans would have predicted that back on 17 August?

Stoke City 3 - 5 Liverpool Match Highlights Barclays Premier League

Stoke City Vs Liverpool Live Streaming

Goalkeeper Jack Butland could make his first Premier League start for Stoke against Liverpool on Sunday, though Thomas Sorensen is back in training. With Asmir Begovic having broken a finger, Butland came off the bench to replace Sorensen (Achilles) against Everton and started the FA Cup third-round win over Leicester. Robert Huth (knee) also trained with the first team this week but may not be ready, and Andy Wilkinson (heel) remains sidelined.

Striker Daniel Sturridge is set to return to the Liverpool squad after seven weeks on the sidelines with an ankle sprain. The England international returned to full training this week having not featured in a matchday squad since the Merseyside derby on November 23. Centre-back Daniel Agger has been ruled out for three to four weeks with a calf strain, but Mamadou Sakho is back after a hamstring injury.

MANAGER QUOTES

Mark Hughes on the prospect of signing Liverpool loanee Oussama Assaidi ona permanent deal: "I think Ossie's intention when he first came here was to try and come and play, make an impression and show he has ability to play for Liverpool in the future. I haven't discussed that train of thought with him since then really, but I still think maybe he feels he has a future there. If that has changed in his own mind at end of the season that could be the time to have the conversation. Now is not the time to make Ossie's loan permanent because I don't think there's an opportunity to do that."

Watch Live Football Online

Brendan Rodgers: "The experience of working with Luis is something which will stay with me for a lifetime. (Just to be able) to work with someone with that determination and desire and will to win. He is a real old school player in that he is never injured and he loves to train. When I first came in I rested him in one or two cup games and I could see he didn't like it. What has been brilliant about these last four or five months has been the maturity of the man."

MATCH FACTS

Stoke have won three and lost none of their five previous Barclays Premier League home meetings with Liverpool (D2), winning the last three in a row.

Liverpool have only lost four consecutive Barclays Premier League away games at four different clubs before: Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd (twice) and Spurs (twice).

Indeed, only at Nottingham Forest have Liverpool played as many Premier League games without a victory than they have at Stoke (5).

Watch Live Football Online

Just five of Luis Suarez’s 20 league goals this season have been scored away from Anfield.
The Uruguayan’s first Premier League goal for Liverpool came in his debut against Stoke City. He has failed to score in the three league appearances against the Potters since.

Loanee Oussama Assaidi, who will miss the game against his parent club, has scored three of Stoke’s last five goals in the league.

Mark Hughes’ side are unbeaten in their last seven home league games, winning three.
The Potters are one of two teams yet to score a headed goal in the Premier League this season (along with West Ham).
In fact, no team has conceded more headed goals than Stoke this season (7; along with Newcastle United & Fulham).
Liverpool have scored 31 goals in the first half of games this season, 12 more than Stoke have managed in total.

Watch Espanyol 0-1 Real Madrid Match Lighlights Spanish La Liga

Espanyol Vs Real Madrid Live Streaming

The pressure is on Real Madrid to beat Espanyol on Sunday and close the five-point gap to La Liga top two, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

With Barca and Atleti playing each other on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will make ground on one or both of them if they can extend their unbeaten run over Espanyol to 12 games.

Espanyol have endured an inconsistent season under Javier Aguirre so far with only six league wins to their name, although one of those did come against Atletico at Estadi Cornella El Prat in October.

The Mexican may not be on the sidelines though after being sent to the stands during last week’s 1-0 defeat to Osasuna, if he is found guilty of abusing the referee he could face a touchline ban starting this weekend.
Stopping Real Madrid will be difficult given the 32-time league winners have amassed 31 goals in their last eight league matches, with forward Cristiano Ronaldo getting 12 of those to take him to the top of the goalscoring charts in Spain with 20 for the campaign.

Watch Live Football Online

The Portugal international is one of the most in-form players across the continent and is odds-on favourite to lift the FIFA Ballon D’Or on Monday after his displays in 2013.

Real are unbeaten in eight games in the league and Ancelotti is demanding a win from his players when they travel to Catalunya, although he is unsure which result he would like to see emerge from the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

“It is hard to think about what the best result (between Atletico and Barca) for us would be,” the Italian said ahead of the match.
“They cannot both lose, but neither can they both win. We have to win to make up points with Barcelona or Atletico.”

Espanyol have earned draws in their last two meetings with Real, however they come into the game on the back of consecutive defeats in the league and Wednesday’s first-leg Copa del Rey tie with second -tier Alcorcon.

Raphael Varane and Sami Khedira (both knee) are the only players unavailable for the visitors but Aguirre will be without his captain Sergio Garcia through suspension and David Lopez after he picked up a thigh injury in midweek.

Newcastle United 0 - 2 Manchester City Match Highlights Barclays Premier League

Newcastle United Vs Manchester City Free Live Streaming Premier League

TEAM NEWS

Goalkeeper Tim Krul and midfielder Yohan Cabaye could both return to the Newcastle squad for Sunday's clash with Manchester City. Krul and Cabaye both missed the FA Cup third-round defeat by Cardiff last weekend, but are back in training and may figure. However, full-back Davide Santon is a doubt with a thigh problem and is set to join fellow defenders Fabricio Coloccini and the suspended Mathieu Debuchy on the sidelines.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is fit for trip to Newcastle after overcoming a minor ankle knock suffered in midweek. Top scorer Sergio Aguero remains on the sidelines but could be close to a return while fellow forward Stevan Jovetic and midfielder Jack Rodwell are also still out. Winger Jesus Navas returns after resting a knee problem while defender Dedryck Boyata is available again after suspension. Defenders Micah Richards and Martin Demichelis are available after injury.

MANAGER QUOTES

Alan Pardew to follow on Yohan Cabaye's future: "It doesn’t worry me. The point you are raising is something that has been raised at an international level, it’s not isolated to Yohan Cabaye. Whether that’s possible, I don’t know, it’s not my department, if I am honest. The most important thing is that he has two years left on his contract in the summer and we are looking forward to him playing for Newcastle for the rest of this season, and we will take it from there in the summer.”
Manuel Pellegrini on Alvaro Negredo's performance against West Ham: "On more than one occasion he ran back to win the ball. He recovered balls, he scored three goals, he was the link with the midfielders - it was a complete game. I always thought he was the player this team needed. I knew him very well from the nine years I was in Spain, so when he arrived here I was absolutely sure he was the striker we needed."

MATCH FACTS

Newcastle United have lost 12 and won none of their last 14 Barclays Premier League meetings with Man City, losing the last eight in a row.

Man City managed 11 shots on target in the reverse meeting with Newcastle this season; still the most they have mustered in a Barclays Premier League game this term.
The Citizens have scored at least twice in each of their last 11 league meetings with Newcastle (30 in total, 2.7 per game).

Yaya Toure has netted five goals in his last four Premier League games against Newcastle.
Overall, the Ivorian colossus has scored more goals against the Magpies than versus any other side (five).
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are the only team yet to concede in the first 15 minutes of a Premier League game this season.

Only Wayne Rooney (9) and Mesut Ozil (7) have provided more assists this season than Jesus Navas (6).
13 of Manchester City’s goals have been scored in the first 15 minutes of the second half this season; more than any other team in the Premier League.
Newcastle’s Loic Remy is the only player to be caught offside more than 20 times this season (23).
If City win this game they’ll be the first team to win six in a row in the Premier League this season (Arsenal have also won five in a row).

Atletico Madrid 0-0 FC Barcelona Match Highlights La Liga

Atlético Madrid Vs FC Barcelona

The brilliant Argentine forward made an instant impact when he came on for the last 30 minutes of the midweek King's Cup tie against Getafe after being out for almost two months with a hamstring injury.
Messi grabbed two goals in the 4-0 win but coach Gerardo Martino is not sure if second-placed Atletico will represent too tough a 90-minute test.

"He looks fine and had a phenomenal 30 minutes in the Cup but he returned after a long time out and the question is whether he is now ready to play a full game at this level," Martino told reporters on Friday.
"We will make a decision tomorrow. It's not really a case of asking a player how he feels as they will usually say 'fine'.

"I have to go by my sensations and look at different aspects to make a decision which people will judge me on. I am the Barcelona coach and pick my XI and then afterwards a decision will be made on how well I do," added Martino.

The coach said he might have been prepared to risk Messi if the Atletico game was later in the season.
"With injuries I usually think about the player first and then about the opposition," he said.
"We are not at a decisive moment like in April...we are in January and the priority at the moment is the players and not the result."

Coach Diego Simeone's Atletico have a 100 percent league record at home this season.
"Atletico are a strong side and I would say that from June to December they were the most solid side in Europe, not just Spain," said Martino.

"Barca as an institution are always expected to win but this will be an even battle and it should be entertaining to watch.

"We cannot ignore how the game went last time but we don't know whether it will be a similar match or other elements will influence it," added Martino, referring to the 1-1 draw at Atletico in the Spanish Super Cup first leg in August.
"We need to be more precise and open up our play more. It is a different situation to last summer.
"We are better than we were five months ago physically and psychologically, we have been improving while Atletico have never dropped their level," said Martino.
Both teams have 49 points from 18 games but Martino does not believe Saturday's game will be decisive in the title race.

"I don't think it will be with half the matches still to go," he said.

Manchester United will be without injured striking duo Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney for the visit of Swansea. Van Persie missed the hectic festive period and, whilst making a speedy recovery from a thigh injury, isn't fit enough to feature against the Swans. Rooney has missed United's defeats to Swansea and Sunderland in the last week, having had a scan on his groin injury and has since been flown to the USA for warm weather recovery.

Swansea's injury woes have deepened ahead of their visit to Manchester United. Jonathan de Guzman, Roland Lamah and Dwight Tiendalli have joined Nathan Dyer, Pablo Hernandez, Garry Monk, Michel Vorm and Michu on the sidelines, leaving manager Michael Laudrup with limited options against the reigning champions. Ashley Williams, Ben Davies and Angel Rangel will return to the back four with Jose Canas and Leon Britton set to start together as deep-lying midfielders.
